This photo shows (left to right) Cathy Martin, Judy Neill and Debbie Dumont with some of their lovely 1930's reproduction fabric Dresdan Plate quilt blocks made during a recent class at The Quilters' Garden Patch in Bronte, Ontario.
Rosemary grew up in Nova Scotia where she learned quilt making from her mother, who often pieced quilt blocks in the winter evenings beside the wood stove.
Rosemary’s interest in quilt making was rekindled when she made a quilt for her baby daughter, Candice. Friends wanted her to show them how to quilt, so she started classes in her home. This eventually lead to teaching adult education classes at night school and together with her students she founded the Halton Quilters’ Guild in 1977.
